Shia LaBeouf Ready With Thriller "Eagle Eye" - Early Review And Movie Trailer

Summer is winding down and Hollywood is starting to bring out their early autumn blockbusters in preparation for the holiday movie season.

This week, DreamWorks SKG and Shia LaBeouf unleash the action mystery thriller "Eagle Eye".

"Eagle Eye" is one of those, "Gosh, what if that ever happened to me" kind of movies, and Labeouf pulls it off with his innocent, but ruthless personality. Fortunately, LaBeouf had completed the film before he landed in the hospital for emergency surgery on a smashed wrist received when he rolled his truck.

For "Eagle Eye", Shia LaBeouf re-teams with "Disturbia" director D.J. Caruso playing a young slacker whose overachieving twin brother dies mysteriously. When LaBeouf returns home, both he and a single mother find they have been framed as terrorists. Forced to become members of a terror network that plans to carry out a political assassination, they must work together to clear their names.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) are the two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life (cell phones and GPS) to track and control their every move.

As the situation escalates, they become the country's most wanted fugitives, and must try to discover what is really happening -- and more importantly, why.

There are some scary and intense moments in the film, and LaBeouf is spreading his wings and showing audiences he has the punch to carry a feature action film. Billy Bob Thornton makes a great adversary as the FBI agent trying to sort out the bizarre story. But it is clear from the opening that Shia LaBeouf is the star of this show.

So who is the female voice we hear on the phone? No one knows. Many actresses have been suggested, including Julia Roberts, Diane Lane, Carrie Ann Moss, and Rosario Dawson.

But we found out! The answer to the night's burning question came from "Eagle Eye" cast member Rosario Dawson during the movie premier in Los Angeles. Dawson blew the whistle on the famous actress behind the voice on the phone - it is Julianne Moore.

"Eagle Eye" will be in theaters September 26, and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence, and for language.
