Kate Bosworth Loves Horses

Who would ever thought that Lois Lane is an award winning equestrian way back before she joined Hollywood bandwagon?

I'm talking about Kate Bosworth of the Superman Returns fame. Out of her curiosity, she auditioned for a Robert Redford movie The Horse Whisperer. She landed the role as Judith in the said film making it her introduction in the film industry. As a kid, she managed to be an A-list student and an athlete rolled into one. She took a break doing movies to pursue her high school education.

After her hiatus, she came back with a vengeance doing back-to-back movies via The Newcomers and Remember the Titans along with Denzel Washington. In 2001, she appeared in the movie Blue Crush who happens to be her first-starring role as an aspiring professional surfer. A year after, she made an independent film by Roger Avery entitled Rules of Attraction. Followed by Wonderland, a biopic of adult film star John Holmes opposite Val Kilmer.

She also appeared in a Bobby Darin biopic Beyond The Sea with Kevin Spacey. Then comes a Win a Date with Tad Hamilton with Topher Grace and Josh Duhamel. Since then, she earned the status of being the next “It girl” appearing in various magazines and centerfolds. Since her participation in Beyond the Sea, she earned the role as Lois Lane in Superman Returns along with newcomer Brandon Routh. This is the second time she and Kevin Spacey work together in the movie but this time, not as husband and wife.

Her next movie The Girl in the Parkis a psychological drama about a woman longing for the disappearance of her 3 year old daughter for 15 years. She casted along with prolific actresses such as Sigourney Weaver and Keri Russel. Another movies lined up for her is21 which is her reunion movie with Kevin Spacey. Movies lined up for her in 2008 includes After Life and Veronika Decides to Die. As of press time, she reportedly bought the film rights of a Catherine Hanrahan novel Lost Girls and Love Hotels.


She became an item in the news recently because of her extremely thin figure. But good thing she manage to get into shape as she is spotted in a getaway vacation in Hawaii. She dated and involved in relationships. She got involved with actor Matt Czuchry and her most celebrated on and off flame with Pirates of the Carribean star Orlando Bloom. She is now dating British model James Rosseau for quite a year.
