That is Stuart Townsend's statement about his “union” with Charlize Theron without civil ceremony and the couple will tie the knot if society will accept same-sex marriages. They have been together as a couple for almost seven years now. They met at the set of Trapped, their horror-thriller movie. Since then they started dating and eventually keep their love burning.
Not all people know that this hot blonde chick came from a wealthy family in South Africa. She is a single child out of a French father and a German mother. She experienced a traumatic event in her life when her mother killed her father out of self-defense. Her father was in a drunken state when she and her mother threatened to be killed.
As a farm girl, Charlize spends her time studying ballet. At 16, she traveled in Milan to be a model. Since her passion for dancing is in her heart, she decided to study ballet in New York after her stint there. Two years after, got an injured knee out of dancing so she instead pursue acting. She fly to Hollywood for her to film 2 Days in the Valley which stars Teri Hatcher and Daniel Aiello.
Her breakthrough performance is in the film The Devil's Advocate. It earned her a nod among movie viewers as she portrayed Keannu Reeves' wife. Then she starred in Disney's remake Mighty Joe Young as the caretaker of Joe, the ape. The year 1999 was a good year for Charlize as she appeared in The Astronaut's Wife opposite Johnny Depp and The Cider House Rules with Tobey Maguire.
Then came another good movie projects for her such as The Yards along with Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg, Men of Honor with Robert de Niro and Cuba Gooding Jr., and The Legend of Bagger Vance opposite Will Smith and Matt Damon. She then reunited with Keanu Reeves for Warner Bros. Pictures movie Sweet November. Other movies that she did includes Trapped, Waking Up in Reno and The Italian Job. It's in the film Monster took her into a whole new level as she bagged Best Actress award at the 2004 Academy Awards and making the record as the First South African recipient of Oscars.
Prior to her next film project Æon Flux, she accidentally slips her neck while doing back handsprings. She undergo a neck surgery and spent two years for her full recovery. She came back with the movie In the Valley of Elah as Det. Emily Sanders. She will appear in her upcoming movies Battle in Seattle and Sleepwalking for 2007. Hancock opposite Will Smith, and The Ice at the Bottom of the World for 2008. The Burning Plain, The Brazilian Job (sequel to The Italian Job) and Jinx all set for 2009.
Charlize keeps her romances as long as it lasts. Her romance with Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins lasted for three years. We'll just wait and see Stuart and Charlize's inspiring love story.
